Hi,

Please let me know what is the best Nav. software to use on my laptop while
in Europe? I am not going to use it on a pda, only laptop. I am in the USA.
Thanks.

I can advice you to look for Tom Tom 3 with the maps of the area's you are
intrested in.
There are detailed maps of France.

Sorry.
I did give some wrong info.
It seems that the TomTom software looks for a signal from the pda or from
the Tom Tom planner. It will not work on a laptop even when both are using
XP as the driver system.

TomTom runs on PDA's/phones, not PC's.

Thanks, I was enquiring about Co-pilot as that was the one you recommended for use on lap-tops. Now we need to decide whether to get this or wait for Tom Tom 5 to come out and buy a PDA, are there any glaring differences apart from the difficulty of using a laptop in the car?

Personally I'd get a PDA or perhaps a GO type device. Much much easier to
use in-car and far more practical. And FWIW TomTom is a better application!

Never mind my other reply! I found where I can get them. My question, why
the big price difference between the two? I am new to this and I hope that
you can help me out! Thanks.
