I've had a GPS38 since they first came out and tomorrow my boss will be giving me an Compaq Ipaq H2210 :-)
Is there any way I can link the two (I haven't seen a suitable lead) and just purchase the TomTom software?
Or would it be better to buy TomTom Blue Tooth receiver and ditch the Garmin?
Lastly, I know the TomTom maps are road maps (see other threads) but can you purchase suitable maps for footpaths over the Fells or
Moors; if so, are they any good?
It would be great if I can use the system in the car and out on foot.

Hi Jim,

You're just about the first posting I've seen in this NG !

I can't help you, but you will probably find you get a good reply if you post
to news:sci.geo.satellite-nav

Thanks Nick, I gathered that this NG was a bit dead, so will take your advice.
BTW, I was up your way last week, looked around the Druids Temple and the local Theakston brewery.
Cheers, Jim (Brighton)

I'd say yes, check this link out (They are Hong Kong based, but things
arrive in a couple of days - atleast to Denmark).
