Hi,
I am thinking of buying a GPS and know next to nothing about them. Can you
scan maps on a computer and then import them into a GPS or do you have to
buy maps in GPS format?

thanks,
Robert

To the best of my knowledge, the only GPS you can scan maps to is a PDA with
a GPS receiver:
I don't think any "stand alone" handhelds will accecpt scans.

However, I stand to be corrected {:~)
